2020-2021 State Funding of Smart Start Partnership for Children Programs
One requirement for receiving Smart Start funds through the State of North Carolina budget is that local partnerships match at least 19% of state funds with grants, individual monetary contributions, and in-kind contributions. In 2019-2020, Smart Start Partnership for Children and Smart Start programs received $465,950 in grants, financial and in-kind contributions increasing the impact of state funds in our community by 41%.
